Space Mask is an alien and one of Yapool's agents in Ultraman Ace. Space Mask was tasked with enlisting unsuspecting human children to construct the Terrible-Monster Black Satan.

Space Mask's true nature is particularly mysterious; while his debut episode establishes him as an individual Yapool Man who was sent to Earth to act on his behalf following the failure of Yapool's other agents,[1] other sources suggest that he is an alien of a different race.
History
Ultraman Ace
One day, Yapool grew furious after having almost all of his Terrible-Monsters becoming failures. He hired Space Mask and sent him to Earth, arriving in the form of a falling meteorite. Once on the ground, he emerged from the meteorite in his human disguise before revealing his true appearance. TAC at first dismissed the meteorite strike as being of little importance, but their attention was raised when an injured eyewitness at the impact site reported that he had seen a man turn into an alien.
At night, Space Mask infiltrated TAC headquarters but quickly chased by the officers and rode off on a motorcycle to escape. While he was tailed by officers Ichiro Yamanaka and Noriko Mikawa in a patrol car, Space Mask used his physic powers to push their car off a nearby cliff. Yamanaka survived the fall but Mikawa died. Space Mask brought her lifeless body to a nearby hospital and revived her.
Under his human alias Jiro Sakai , Space Mask worked at a kindergarten and was visited by TAC a week later. Here, Sakai instructed the kids to create a Terrible-Monster sculpture. Sakai quietly injured Seiji Hokuto's leg with his physic power when the latter sensed something suspicious about him. TAC officers also thought that there was something suspicious about Sakai, since a man resembling him happened to be involved with the car accident a week ago and was wearing the same bracelet he had.
To further investigate, they sent Mikawa to give him a scanner disguised as a charm, all while unknowingly watched by the alien. Nonetheless, Sakai willingly let himself be unmasked by TAC, brought Black Satan to life and ordered it to rampage through the city. Ultraman Ace and TAC were having a hard time battling it until Ace seemingly killed Black Satan, only for Space Mask to revive him again. It seemed as though Ace had finally met his match but Mikawa managed to sneak up behind Space Mask while he was directing Black Satan, and alerted Space Mask to her presence. Before he could do anything, Mikawa shot Space Mask's bracelet. Screaming in pain with sparks erupting from his body, Space Mask fell over the edge of the building to his death.

- It is possible that Space Mask's bracelet contains similar technology to the machine Yapool uses to create Terrible-Monsters, as Space Mask uses it to bring the statue of Black Satan to life.
- The episode's narration mentioned him to be one of Yapool's many forms, yet the 1984 magazine describe him to be an alien agent hired by Yapool, as shown above.[2]

- Mechanical Stuffed Dog: Space Mask had an automated machine gun that is disguised as a stuffed puppy. He also used this to infiltrate TAC headquarters. It was named Booan .
- Healing: Space Mask can heal humans, and can even resurrect those who have recently died.
